The Plan

A path of irregular pavers leads visitors past a small pond to the front door. The layout of the contemporary front garden balances hard surfaces with soft planting and natural forms, supporting the home’s design in a clean and understated way.

The Plant Palette

This contemporary front garden was designed to complement the strong architecture of a mid-century family home using a mix of structure, texture, and native New Zealand plants. Poor Knights lily (Xeronema Callistemon) adds height and bold colour near the entrance, while Muehlenbeckia axillaris creates a low, creeping ground cover. The distinctive form of Cycad Revoluta introduces a structural focal point.
