Preparation
- Quotes for planting are based on all the hardscaping being completed and garden beds being prepared with garden mix prior to planting by your landscape construction company.
Tree Warranty & Survival Clarifications
- We guarantee that all trees supplied and installed are healthy and in good condition at the time of planting.
- We offer a 30-day plant health guarantee following installation
- Trees require consistent watering, especially during establishment (typically the first 12-24 months). If the client does not opt for an irrigation system, Sculpt will not be held responsible for tree loss due to inadequate watering.
Subsurface Conditions (Rock, Roots, Pipes, Services)
- Our quote assumes standard soil conditions. If excavation encounters rock, dense roots, underground services, or other unforeseen obstacles, additional charges may apply.
- If mechanical excavation is required due to unexpected subsurface conditions, we will notify the client before proceeding, and additional costs will be discussed.
Site Access & Machinery Use
- The client is responsible for ensuring there is adequate access for required vehicles, machinery, and personnel. If access is restricted (e.g., narrow entrances, overhead obstructions, soft ground), additional costs may be incurred for alternative planting methods or equipment hire.
- If manual labour is required due to machinery being unable to access the planting site, additional charges will apply.
Damage to Underground Services
- We take care when planting but are not responsible for damage to underground pipes, cables, or utilities not clearly marked or disclosed prior to work commencement. The client is responsible for providing plans or marking service locations.
- If service locating is required before work can commence, this will be charged additionally.
Hard Digging or Excavation Delays
- If excessive digging time is required due to unforeseen site conditions (e.g., compacted soil, buried debris, hard clay), additional charges may apply based on time and labour required.
- If the ground is unsuitable for planting (e.g., contaminated soil, poor drainage), we will discuss remediation options and associated costs before proceeding.
Weather & Ground Conditions
- Planting will be scheduled based on weather conditions. If heavy rainfall or extreme dry conditions make planting impractical, rescheduling may be required.
- If the ground is waterlogged or unstable, additional preparation (e.g., drainage work, soil stabilization) may be necessary at an additional cost.
Customer Site Responsibilities
- The client is responsible for clearing major obstructions (e.g., old tree stumps, large debris, structures) before planting unless otherwise agreed.
- Any delays caused by site unpreparedness may result in rescheduling fees or additional charges.
